What hay costs in West Virginia
BaleWise tracks 16 hay listings in West Virginia, 11 with listed prices, checked October 22, 2026. Every price is the seller’s own, per bale, next to the size of bale it buys. Nothing is converted, estimated, or averaged into a number the seller never quoted.
4×5-and-under rounds run $25.00 to $40.00 a bale across prices from 6 sellers, with a midpoint of $30.00.
Verdicts on the board above compare a listing against other Upper South listings of the same bale size, at least 6 of them, or we don’t rate it at all. It is the same yardstick the region board uses, so a listing carries the same verdict on either page.
This board shows West Virginia only. Buying near a state line? The full Upper South board includes sellers just over it.
