Where can I sell hay near me?

Right here, free. BaleWise is the price board hay buyers use in all 48 contiguous states — list your hay and buyers contact you directly. We're not a marketplace: the sale stays between you and the buyer.

How much should I charge for my hay?

Check what hay is actually going for near you — every listing on the board shows real asking prices normalized to true cost per ton, and the Trends page shows which way prices are moving. Price against your local market, not a guess.

Is it really free?

Yes — listing your hay on the board is free.

I already sell fine on Facebook.

What does "verified" mean?

It means the details came from you, not from somewhere else. Most listings on the board are built from what we can find publicly — a classified ad, a farm site, a state directory. A ✓ Verified listing is one the seller filled in themselves, and we email you every week or two to check the price is still right. It is not an inspection: we don't grade hay, test it, or vouch for quality. Full definition.

How do I change my price later?

Email jack@balewise.com with the new price and we'll update the board within 24 to 48 hours. You don't have to wait for us to ask, but we will ask: we check in every week or two so nothing on your listing goes stale.

My hay is already on the board. Why claim it?

Claiming adds your photo, the ✓ Verified badge, and your direct contact info — and it means your price gets updated straight from you instead of from your ads.
