Three steps. We do the heavy lifting.
On the board in about a minute.
Already selling on Facebook or your own site? Even better — claiming adds the verified badge and your photo on the board where buyers compare every seller side by side.
- The ✓ Verified badge buyers trust
- Your photo, front and center on your listing
- Buyers call you directly — we never sit in the middle
- Free to claim — about a minute of your time
You're on your way to the board.
We build your listing and post it as quickly as we can, usually within a couple of days. After that, a listing gets marked as needing a re-check past about six weeks, and past about eight weeks it stops showing in the main list until you tell us it's still good — it isn't deleted, and one email restores it. We don't yet send you a reminder before that happens, so send us a change any time at contact@balewise.com.

The short version: listing is free, you stay in control, and we handle the upkeep.
Where can I sell hay near me?
Right here, free. BaleWise is the price board hay buyers use in all 48 contiguous states — list your hay and buyers contact you directly. We're not a marketplace: the sale stays between you and the buyer.
How much should I charge for my hay?
Check what hay is actually going for near you — every listing on the board shows the seller's real asking price per bale next to the size of bale it buys, and every board shows its recent price moves right under the listings. Price against your local market, not a guess.
Is it really free?
Yes — listing your hay on the board is free.
I already sell fine on Facebook.
Keep doing that — this isn't either/or. BaleWise is where buyers compare every seller in the area side by side, so a listing here puts you in front of buyers your Facebook posts never reach.
What does "verified" mean?
It means the details came from you, not from somewhere else. Most listings on the board are built from what we can find publicly — a classified ad, a farm site, a state directory. A ✓ Verified listing is one the seller filled in themselves. That's why it's worth something: the details are first-hand. A listing nobody confirms stops showing in the main list rather than sitting there looking current. It is not an inspection: we don't grade hay, test it, or vouch for quality. Full definition.
How do I change my price later?
Email contact@balewise.com with the new price and we'll update the board on the next update, usually within a couple of days. We don't yet send a reminder asking, so anything that changes is worth an email whenever it happens.
My hay is already on the board. Why claim it?
Claiming adds your photo, the ✓ Verified badge, and your direct contact info — and it means your price gets updated straight from you instead of from your ads.
